This year’s campaign focuses on 25 landfill-adjacent communities, starting with Sitio Dumpsite, Antipolo and Tondo, Manila, where child malnutrition and respiratory illness are most severe due to poor air quality and unmanaged waste.
The Philippine Navy Seal (Naval Special Operations School) have raised 107 meals in their boodle fight #SaloSalo. Thanks to Cdr Joel Cabigon for hosting it!

A milestone campaign moving toward the goal of serving one million nutritious meals to Filipino families. It focuses on malnourished and underserved communities living near landfills, where pollution worsens child health and poverty.
Beyond feeding, #SaloSalo promotes clean-air and zero-waste initiatives that address the root causes of poor health-helping families build resilience and creating cleaner, safer communities where every child can grow strong and reach their full potential.
The "A Million Meals" program aims to nourish 5,000 individuals for 120 days, helping them regain health, rebuild their lives, and move toward self-sufficiency. DSWD's guidelines ensure that daily provision of nutritious meal for 120 days can materially improve nutritional status. Alongside this, the clean-air and zero-waste drives will train informal waste collectors, build segregation hubs, and support the rehabilitation of communities near landfills.
Our team's Christmas party last year was more meaningful because we responded to the #SaloSalo campaign.
From October 22 to January 22, 2026, turn your shared moments into meaningful action through the #SaloSalo campaign:
If you are a part of any gathering from a reunion, a company Christmas party, a family get-together or even a simple lunch-out or dinner, rally your friends and families and agree on a target number of meals you'd like to raise, for the beneficiaries of #SaloSalo, that would provide the daily nutritious meals of undernourished children and families for 120 days.
Here's how to join:
1. Rally your friends, families, colleagues.
Declare that your salo-salo (Reunion, Christmas parties, get-together, team dinners, lunch or dinner) is part of #SaloSalo – Towards a Million Meals.
2. Decide on the number of meals you would like to raise for the beneficiaries of #SaloSalo.
₱59 = 1 nutritious meal + clean-air + zero-waste program support
Example: 30 Family Members × ₱590 = 300 meals funded.
3. Pool your contributions and remit through GlobalGiving (a donation platform ensuring transparency and credibility)
4. Download your #SaloSalo party kit to make your party extra special.
5. Share photos and videos of your #SaloSalo parties in all your social media accounts! Please use the following hashtags:
